REDD is looking for an Assistant Editor with strong Asia loan market reporting skills. We would favour a candidate with experience covering the Asia loan market (primary and secondary market, workouts) and strongly encourage candidates with banking or buyside publishing experience (such as credit analysts) to apply. Requirements: Strong knowledge of regional credit market with an emphasis on loans. Solid base of offshore and onshore contacts in the region (local banks, government, corporates, investment banks, asset managers, legal and financial advisers). Contacts in the loan market (origination, syndication, trading, and workout groups). Familiarity with financial statements. Proficiency in at least one Asian language, such as Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia, is preferred. Superior English language writing and editing skills. A go-getter with the proven ability to lead. The ability to produce and manage workflow under strict deadlines. At least seven years’ experience. Clearance for work in Singapore.

Credit Research Analyst - Chinese Market (Singapore)

REDD is looking for a credit research analyst to cover high yield and distressed corporate borrowers in China. Responsibilities: Leading analytical coverage of high-yield and distressed companies in China. Regular production of written credit research reports. Support the proprietary news team in understanding emerging credit situations. Carrying out detailed financial analysis of Mainland China/Hong Kong high-yield / sub-investment grade and distressed credit securities. Developing an in-depth understanding and performing a detailed assessment of business models across various sectors. Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of fixed income, fundamental corporate and credit analysis and related fields. 2 or more years of credit/fixed income research experience is preferred. Experience working with Chinese onshore financial documents. Strong knowledge of accounting (IFRS/HKFRS/PRC GAAP) and modelling. Understanding of credit ratings and methodologies is a plus. Fluency in English and Mandarin.

The reporter will work closely with our editorial and analyst teams to track debt restructurings, insolvencies, risks, special situations, and other credit-related news. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter used to working under deadlines, covering everything from breaking news to providing insight or flagging key risks. He/she will be writing for a sophisticated readership that includes asset managers, investment bankers and financial/legal advisers. He/she will be a team player who is comfortable with complexity and can think on his/her feet. The ideal candidate should have strong banking contacts and knowledge of the banking sector. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English-language writing skills are strongly preferred.
